World Sindhi Congress (WSC) pleased to announce their 28th annual conference on 15th October 2016 in London, UK.
This year conference will focus on ‘Indigenous Sindhi Peoples Rights to Land, Territories and Resources’.
More than 70% of indigenous Sindhis in rural parts of Sindh living in abject poverty despite Sindh contributes more than 69% of federal budget of Pakistan. Illegal land grabbing and mismanagement of Sindh’s natural resources continue to rise in Pakistan. Year 2015 -16 continue to be the worst year for indigenous minorities of Sindh and for human rights defenders in Sindh.
This conference will provide a platform to discuss, explore and develop a strategy to address the exploitation of Sindh’s resources by Pakistani establishment. We have invited educationist, scholars, and activist to the conference.
