Another Disappearance, Another Life in Danger
World Sindhi Congress is deeply concerned about the disappearance of another Sind hi political activist, Mr Asif Baladi. Asif has been missing since last four days and his parents and political
colleagues have claimed that he has been kidnapped by the Pakistan i agencies. Mr Baladi is currently President of Sindhi Nationalist Forum and has remained very active and vocal in Jeay Sindh Tehreek. His disappearance is a part of continuing onslaught of agencies run Pakistan i state against the nationalist Sind hi and Baluch political activists.
These actions of gross human rights violations by Pakistan i government have been condemned widely by human rights advocacy organisations in Pakistan and internationally but the Pakistan s government does not seem be bothered much. These organisations include scores of civil and political organisations from Sindh and Baluchistan , Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and Amnesty International.
We demand from the Pakistan i government to stop these blatant violations of human rights and all Sindhi and Baluch political activists including Dr. Safdar Sarki, Asif Baladi, Abdul Nabi Bungulzai, Sattar Hakro, Muzfar Bhutto, Asghar Shah, Sikandar Soomro Ali Asghar Bangulzai, Dr. Imdad Baloch, Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch, Abdul Ghaffar Sasooli, Dr Haneef Sharif, Nawaz Zaour, Haji Jan Mohammed Marri, Allah Dad Marri, should be produced, without delay, in civil courts if there are charges against them, otherwise released.
WSC reiterated that it will continue to raise the issue of the disappearance, torture and extra-judicial killing of Sindhi and Baluch political activists under the hands of Pakistan s military state at all appropriate international forums.
